Jelawat fish (Leptobarbus hoevenii) are found in several rivers Kalimantan and Sumatra. Often encountered obstacles farming is the bacterial disease Aeromonas hydrophila, known as Motile Septicemia (MAS). Treatment of can use natural ingredients that function antimicrobials. Papaya seeds contain antimicrobials; besides that, they also secondary metabolites such phenols, terpenoids, alkaloids, saponins. The terpenoid group main component papaya has antibacterial activity. This study aims to determine effectiveness best seed extract on survival jelawat infected with hydrophila bacteria. treatment this used a completely randomized design (CRD) 4 treatments 3 replications. were A (soaking at 0 ppm), B 40 C 80 D 120 ppm). results showed administration by immersion had significant effect response high feeding, an average absolute weight growth value 1.33 grams, 100% rate, wound healing sharks A. bacteria starting normalize or heal. Meanwhile, water quality observed during was quite supportive for jelawat, temperatures ranging from 27–28, dissolved oxygen (DO) 7-8.7 mg/L, pH 6.5 7.3, ammonia values 0.1–0.3 mg/L.
